DICKINSON - Robert E. Sawyer, 51, of 431 Sunset, died 5:30 am Sunday in John Sealy Hospital in Galveston'
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm today at Jack Rowe Funeral Home in League City with the Rev. Leslie Wells officiating.
Burial will be in Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Alta Loma.
Mr. Sawyer was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Texas.
He was an operator for Union Carbide in Texas City, a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 347 of Texas City, a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Army and a Dickinson resident for the past five, years.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Sawyer and Rodney Sawyer, both of Dickinson; a daughter, Rhond a Sawyer of Dickinson; his mother, Mrs. Myrl Sawyer of Mt. Cairn, Texas; three brothers, John Sawyer of Dickinson, James Sawyer of Houston and Bill Sawyer of Whitney, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Gwen Baker of Mt. Calm, Texas; and a grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Edwards, James Sawyer, Bubba Beckner, David Baker, Gary Sawyer and C. E. Moore.
