Because of the combination of early 1800s English origin with the names Scace and Gibson in this family group, I suspect there may be a relationship to the family of Robert Charles Scace and his wife, Charlotte, who was the daughter of Barnarbus Gibson. ( See: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Scace-17 ). This family appears to have been from the area around Laxfield, Suffolk, England. Have you checked for records of your Scaces there?
See also: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Scace-263 for a cluster of 1840 US Census records for as yet unidentified Scace families who appear to have settled together in Albany, NY (USA) in the 1830s, on the off chance that any of them fit your family. Although it looks as if your family probably went directly to Canada, there is always a possibility they might have initially emigrated to the US and followed the Erie Canal route to Buffalo, before crossing into Ontario, Canada from there.
My particular interest is finding solid evidence to confirm the proposed ancestry of Maria Scace-215 who was born in England, emigrated to the US in the 1820s or 1830s, married Henry Gilbert Head in the Albany-Schenectady, NY area in the 1840s, and removed with him to Wisconsin after the US Civil War.
