Edwin James Scanlan, son of Charles Scanlan, ^[1] was born in about November 1880 in Atherstone, Warwickshire. ^[2][3] He married Edith Rolls on 26 July 1902 at St Stephen's church, Audenshaw, Lancashire. ^[1]
