Jane Scarisbrick was born in about 1808 in Kirkby, Lancashire. She was the daughter of James Scarisbrick.
Jane married Robert Owen on 28 Jan 1839 at St Mary's Church in Walton on the Hill, Lancashire. Both were of full age (21 or more), and neither had been married before. Robert was a farmer living in Simonswood; Jane lived in Kirkby. Their fathers were named as Thomas Owen (farmer) and James Scarisbrick (farmer). The witnesses were John Hughes and William Hughes.
Their daughter Lydia was born in 1839 in Prescot district.[1]
By June 6th 1841, the family was living in Catchey Moss, Eccleston.
