Biography
Clarissa Almeda Scarrit was born 7 December 1855 in Sherburne, Chenango County, New York to parents James Madison Scarritt and Almeda Clarissa Tackaberry.
She married Louis Eugene Palmer December 31, 1874 in Hudson, Lenawee County, Michigan. [1] [2]
Clarissa, or Clara as she was known also in records, died on 25 May 1938 in Rochester, Oakland County, Michigan.

Clara and Louis had the following children.
- Fredrick Scarritt Palmer: b. 29 December 1876 - d. 25 December 1953.
- Louis Eugene Palmer Jr.: b. 27 March 1882 - d. 25 May 1957.
- Clara Louise Palmer: b. 13 June 1884 - d. 25 September 1949.
- Mattie Mae Palmer: b. 31 October 1885 - d. 30 September 1972.
- William Fletcher Palmer: b. 7 July 1887 - d. 9 February 1934.
- Bessie Almeda Palmer: b. May 1892 - d. 22 December 1892.
- Marigold Tackaberry Palmer: b. 17 June 1893 - d. 29 November 1975.
- Pauline Sylva Palmer: b. 7 January 1896 - d. 29 October 1957.
