Text: Obituary - Manitoulin Expositor, Little Current,November 2, 2005MARY BASSINGTHWAITEIn loving memory of Mary Maria Bassingthwaite (nee Scarrow), of Owen Sound who passed away peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 in her 90th year. Dearly beloved wife of the late Victor Bassingthwaite. Loving mother of Marilyn Armstrong and her husband Keith of Kingston; Jim Bassingthwaite and his wife, Jodi, of Michigan; Ellen OReilly and her husband Jim of East Linton. Proud grandmother of Patricia Armstrong, Lynn Armstrong, Christine Biggs and her husband Richard, Suzanne Delouche and her husband Mike, Lindsay Bassingthwaite, Denise and Jason OReilly and great-grandmother of Christopher, Amanda, Erik and Kalvin. Mary will be sadly missed by her sister Elva LeClerc of Burlington. Predeceased by her parents Watson and Evelyn Scarrow, her brother, Howard Scarrow and her sister, Amy Scarrow. Friends called at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sou nd on Friday from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. A funeral service for Mary Bassingthwaite was held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 11 am with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating, interment in Annan Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the First United Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation as your expression of sympathy.
