Biography

Jacob was born in 1853 in Alsenz, Germany. He was the son of Wilhelm Schaefer and Katharina Held. He immigrated to the United States around 1872, and settled in New York City. He married Louise Seitz in 1874 and they had a large family together. According to census records and his death certificate he was a tailor. He passed away in 1929 in Bronx, New York City, New York.
