Sophia Schaefer was a Black Sea German.

Birth

Sophia was born on February 16, 1878 in the village of Johannestal in the Beresan district of the Odessa area and Black Sea region of South Russia to Heinrich Schaefer and Elisabetha (Delzer) Schaefer. She was the fifth of their 10 children.[1]
