Congratulations, you've been a member for a month!

Beyond the Basics of WikiTree is a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, Merging, Templates and Volunteer Opportunities!

We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.

Try our Relationship Finder! It searches 20 generations. If you find a duplicate profile, the other managers are probably related. You can use this to find out how!

Hi!

Just checking in with a few quick tips:

Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".

Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

Do you have any questions I can help with?

No problem, Jeff. Did you see the headstone photo for them that I posted (or "hope" I posted!)...

Will add you to all my Schafer entries (as soon as I figure out HOW!) Take care!

Jeff, "Find a Grave" information for William Calvin Schafer shows a picture of his tombstone with the death date of 17 March 1885 on it. Are you sure that it is really 1882? (Thanks)
I'm new too, Jeff, and still trying to find my way around. I'll put you on the Trusted List, and just let me know if you want me to add the info. Oh, would you like me to add you to the Trusted List for all the Schafer entries that I have?
Hi, Jeff; I have added you on John Phillip Schafer (hopefully I did it correctly!). I will be glad to add you to the "Trusted" list on any of the Schafer and related lines, just let me know. Oh, and I have confirmed 23&Me DNA testing with this Schafer line; common ancestors were Joseph Nelson and wife Polly (born SC, then in Jackson County, TN area (Schafer line connected with their daughter, Lucretia "Tine" Nelson, who married Arthur Williams. My line is thru their son, Solomon Taylor Nelson).
