I found those births on FamilySearch but not the deaths. My Johan Jost Schaefer stated he was born in Germany and was 36 years old when married in 1869. Men do sometimes lie. I cannot find his travel to Australia which would have details like age and birthplace. I have found a new birth on FamilySearch. Regards Graeme
Where did you get the birth date and place? The Johann Jost Schäfer who was born in Dodenau in 1832 passed away there in 1882. The Johann Jost Schäfer who was born in 1834 died a few weeks after his birth.
