He is reported to have died in 1792 and been buried in the Chucky Community Cemetery in Greene County, Tennessee.[4][5]
Research Notes
Further research is needed to confirm whether any of the following records are associated with Lucas b.1736 (of this profile) or with Lucas Schally b.1742.
Lucas Abraham Shalle was only three years old when his parents, Car and Anna Ester Shalle came to America in 1739 from the Rhineland Palatinate Area of Germany. Lucas, his sister, Anna Elizabeth, and two brothers Johann Michael and John Adam were all toddlers when the family made a long journey to the new land. Two brothers, John Peter and John Valentine were both in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1741 and 1743 respectively.[6]
Luke Abe is listed as Luke Scholly in Captain John Kershner's company in 1778 in Fort Fredic, during the Revolution War. He signed the marriage bond Luke Shally or Luke Sholly when Margaret married George Emmert in January 1785 in Green County, Tennessee. In his last will and testament in 1792, Anne Bumpus shows the name spelled Lookabe Shawley. The sons, Adam, George, Michael, Frederic and John were all listed by first name. George Emmert is listed as co-executor along with Luke's widow, Margaret. In 1795 and 1816, Widow Maergaret uses all three Shirley spellings in connection with children and grandchildren. Sometime between 1792 when Luke Abe's will was done and possibly around 1816 when his, widow, Margret Muckleroy's will was done, the spelling became consistently Shirley.[7]

They have the same spouse, but not the same parents. The birth and death dates were originally different, but have been amended since the merge was proposed to make them the same. One man is linked with records that identify him as Lucas Charles and the other is linked with records that identify him as Lucas Abraham. Isn't it more likely that these profiles were for cousins (their fathers are reported to have been brothers) and not for the same person?
Schally-20 and Schally-7 do not represent the same person because: They have different parents. One man was born in 1736 and the other was born in 1742. Baptism records are sourced on each profile. Other sources which appear on the profiles may have conflated the two men. Further research is needed to confirm which man married Maria Bolgerin, and which man died in 1813 in Cumberland County.
Shalley-33 and Shalley-3 appear to represent the same person because: These profiles are the same with relatives, places & dates in common. Please review & merge as appropriate.
