Thanks for your contributions to Puritan Great Migration (PGM) project profiles.
Like all WikiTree projects we check in with team members periodically to find out about their continued interest in the project. Would you please respond by February 12, 2024, to let us know about your interest:
1. Would you like to continue as a PGM project team member?;
2. Do you have any suggestions for PGM Project priorities in the next year (optional)?;
3. Do you have interest in taking a more active role within the PGM project, and if so, what you might be interested in doing (optional)?
Please respond to this comment on your profile, or if you'd like, send a private message to either Bobbie (Madison) Hall or S (Hill) Willson.
Thanks for all you do for PGM and WikiTree!
Regards,
Bobbie and Sharon, Co-Leaders, Puritan Great Migration Project
The essence of the story is this: Ferd made a very positive impact on Queen Elizabeth, James I and Charles I. He never visited the "New" world. He was acquainted with the King of France as well as most all the English nobles. He was a good friend of Chief Justice John Popham. As governor of the fort at Plymouth, England, he met most of the English transatlantic captains as well as a few Algonquins. He led the London and Virginia companies seeking permission to create plantations in what became New England.
New England does not give him much credit. His sole monument is a crumbling old fort in Casco Bay. Even Walter Raleigh gets better press than Ferd does. I will keep revising my biography until the writers' group gives me a thumbs up. Plus I have to include my sources - perhaps I have too many sources...
I am not sure how I should interpret your answer as to whether or not you want to remain a part of the PGM project, though. Would you please let me know? Thank you, S
Thanks for contributing to Puritan Great Migration profiles over the last six months. Every little bit helps, so please keep those edits coming!
Like all WikiTree projects we check in with team members twice per year and it's that time again. Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:
If you'd like to tell me about a particular project or family you're working on, I'd love to hear about that as well.
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. I look forward to hearing from you.
Many thanks!
Brad Stauf, PGM membership coordinator
Thanks so much. Your Hezekiah Dodge comment is the closest so far you have come to my part of the Dodge family tree. I am a direct descendant of H's father Abner Sr. It goes Abner Sr>Abner Jr>Jonathan>Adrian>Roland>Nelson [my father]. One of these days I will enter it all into WikiTree. It's in Ancestry, entered by my nephew.

I sent you a private message about assisting you with your sourcing and citations.
My name is Joan and I am a WikiTree Leader?Mentor. I am looking forward to working with you. Regards. Joan
Obviously, everthing is connected...
I found a perfectly good resource for Abiezer Perkins (Perkins-87) (see my comment on Aug 25). Now I return to my website source (archive.org or Google Books) & the source must be purchased. I find that to be very unfair...
1784 "History of Chenango and Madison Counties, New York Volume II" by James H Smith, published by D Mason & Co. Syracuse, NY - this was available on archive.org and google books in early August but is now unavailable to me unless it is purchased on Google Books only. Chapters 9, 10, 38, 39, 40, 41 & 42 provide history of Madison County. Published 1880

Your England Leaders are completing the six monthly check in with all team members. I wanted to thank you for your work on English Profiles and particularly your work in the Orphan Trail.
These are unprecedented and difficult times, and we understand as Project Leaders that your situation may have changed somewhat in the last few months. What we are all able to/ wish to contribute on Wikitree has changed. Please let me know if you are happy with your current role and team choice or if you wish to do something additional or different. Thank you again on behalf of all the project leaders for everything you do.
Joan
About your question to me. I'm not sure how to search Anamosa Press (Iowa) newspaper from 1850-1900. I checked newspapers.com and it's not there, it's only the Evening Journal Farm Edition available there. Regards, Natalie
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.
Add the project tag to your Following list to be kept up to date on any activity that occurs for that project.
Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)

You've been a member for a few weeks so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!
I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.
Cindy ~ WikiTree Messenger
PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
I am happy to congratulate you for becoming a full member of the WikiTree community! To help save you time, energy and frustration, please start with our New Member How-To pages.
Click the green Tag on your top right of your profile page and see others following the same things you are researching. The more Tags (20 is the maximum) you add that include locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more links to the community research options.
Welcome to the WikiTree family! Please ask if you have any questions as I am always happy to help.
