Mike,

You can find PGM descendant's template, with instructions on how to add it, at: www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:PGM_Descendant

When you feel you are ready to be part of the PGM project, just let me know.

Hi Michael, Thanks for asking to join the Puritan Great Migration Project. Please read the project guidelines carefully. Our goal is to improve the biographies of PGM profiles by adding well-sourced information, generally using inline citations. You don't have to be a member of the PGM project to work the profiles, but you do need to communicate with the profile managers, or if you make major changes, with the project.

Many people find that they don't want to work on a project, but they want to show that they are related to the first immigrants to New England. We have a new template for those people, and there are no responsibilities or obligations.

After you read the project guidelines, get back to me and let me know if you want to join the project or if you would like the template. Vic

Hi Michael

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you have alot of interests for various ancestors. Here at WikiTree we like to have our members involved with others; collaboration is key! Here is a list of our WikiTree projects you might like to check out: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects

Besides the projects Maria mentioned below we also have one for the Puritan Project at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Puritan_Great_Migration

Why don't you also stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus.

Thanks for considering a project. Dorothy, Vol Coordinator.

Congratulations, Michael! You are now a confirmed member of WikiTree. To get started, please see: How to Use WikiTree.

The central hub where we share ideas and answer questions is our G2G Forum. It is here you will find the Question of the Week: How has social media helped you in your research? You may also search for topics of interest and introduce yourself with a post about an ancestor you are researching.

There are numerous ways you may get involved at WikiTree. See the Volunteers Needed page for more information on projects you can contribute to.

Thanks for volunteering and enjoy the journey. --Rod

Hi Michael,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.
