Mrs. Wildes went to Roper School through the third grade and then she went to Hearn's Chapel through the seventh grade. There were no buses that were running out where she lived, so she did not go any further than the seventh grade.

Myrtle and Arley Walters were the parents of five children: Arthur Herbert, Fannie Lou, Ruth, Arley Alton, and Myrtle Lee. After Arley's death, Myrtle married Alton Clyde Wildes. She and Alton Clyde had a son, Albert Clifford Wildes who married Ann Allen from Hazlehurst. [1]
