Sheet 7B of the census shows Jacob M Scherer (39), wife Nancy A (42) and children Mary H (13) and Louis E (11) living in the home at 1847 Fernwood Avenue. Jacob reports he and his parents were born in Ohio and Nancy reports she and her mother were born in Indiana and her father in Germany. The children were born in Ohio and Roger in Indiana. The couple has been married for 6 years and both of their born children are still living. This is his first marriage and her second. Jacob is the street foreman. The home is rented. [2]

Sheet 15B of the census shows Jacob M Scherer (39), wife Nancy A (42) and children Mary H (13) and Louis E (11) living in the home at Ottawa Park. Also living with them is Roger H Housholder (20) also listed as a son. The home is rented. Jacob reports he and his parents were born in Ohio and Nancy reports she and her mother were born in Indiana and her father in Germany. The children Mary and Louis were born in Ohio and Roger in Indiana. Jacob is the park keeper and Roger is a teamster for the City. [3]
