Biography

Jacob Jacobse Schermerhorn was a son of Jacob Schermerhorn, Jr., and Antie Van Vechten, born about 1715. He married Catalyntje Van Buren in Albany, New York, on 29 August 1740. Their children were Jacob, born 24 October 1741 and baptized in Albany, and Cornelius, born 9 April 1743.[1]

He died some time before 1746, when she married Barent Van Buren as her second husband.
