Biography

Catalyntje was a daughter of Jacob Jacobse Schermerhorn and Gerritie Hendrickse Van Buren, baptized on 26 August 1683.[1]

Catelyntje Schermerhoorn and Abraham Van Valkenburg were married in the Reformed Dutch Church of Albany, New York, in 1706. The couple registered banns on 18 May 1706 and a certificate of their marriage was returned to the church on 2 June 1706. Catelyntje was a daughter of Jacob Jacobse Schermerhorn and Geertjie Hendrickse Van Buren.[2]

Research Notes

LNAB should be Schermerhoorn, the name recorded at her marriage. The name "Korenbeurs" or "Koorenbeurs" is too far from the other names for her to be useful as an LNAB. Smith-62120 03:20, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
