Biography

St. Ägidius Church in Eckersdorf has Anna Margaretha's date of birth as February 3, 1839 but St. Luke's German Lutheran Church in Cumberland, Maryland has her date of birth as January 19, 1838, and also this date is on her tombstone. I'm not sure why there is such a discrepancy but perhaps someone gave the wrong information since the most contemporary records such as her baptismal record and the 1854 passenger list give her year of birth as 1839.

Anna Margaretha Schilling immigrated to the United States with her mother Margaretha and her siblings in May 1854 through the Port of Baltimore, eventually arriving in Cumberland, Maryland.

Anna was born in 1839. She passed away in 1892.
