Hello Nancy,

Thanks for all of your work on WikiTree. I saw your message to G. Moore regarding the categories.

On the main Category page for Russia, it has the following statement: "This is a high level category. Please do not add individual profiles. Add profiles to the narrowest category possible. See How to Categorize." This is why I asked you to remove "Russia" from the profile.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me! Thanks!

Hi Nancy, thanks for your note.

That link takes you to a list of all the Saturday Sourcing Sprints posts. Right now we are doing one post every week. The next post will be created on Friday at noon.

If you would like me to include your sourced profiles from this past Saturday, click the top post and read the rules. If it still sounds like fun, add an answer to that post and I'll get you set up.

Keep an eye out for next week's post on Friday and chime in with an answer. It can be anything really, such as which records or family you plan to work on, or what your goal is (mine's usually at least one sourced profile). Some of our Sprinters have gr ideas on where to look for unsourced profiles or sources for certain locations.

I'm glad you are considering joining us.

Yes, please let me know!! My Kolmar ancestors are a mystery too. I haven't been able to find them before there. It's where my end of line ancestor's children were baptized but I haven't been able to get beyond Peter Langholff and Charlotte Schimdt.

Hi Nancy,

I noticed that you clicked the Saturday Sourcing Sprint check box on the Challenge Tracker this weekend. I keep a yearly total for those who register for the Sprints. You can find the Year to Date totals on the Sprint Tracking Sheet.

If you would like to be included in the tracking sheet, add an answer (not a comment) to the current Saturday Sourcing Sprint G2G thread, Membership in a team is not required to participate.

No pressure, every profile with a source makes our WikiTree better. If you don't register, we will include your total in the Unregistered entry at the bottom.

Your work is appreciated. Thanks for sourcing!

Nancy: Thanks for your comment on August Vogelsang's page. It looks like August was born in Germantown, IL, to Frank and Marg Vogelsang (haven't built their pages yet). Frank was born in Germany around 1820, from what I can find. There might be a connection farther back, but I don't think August is your man.
