David was born in 1862. He was the son of Henry Schlotzhauer and Mary Knechtel. He lived with his parents and siblings in Ellice, Perth, Ontario in 1871.[1]
David married Elizabeth E Whitney on 8 May 1884 in Mornington, Perth, Ontario.[2] They had children. They lived in Perth, Ontario in 1901[3] and 1911.[4]
