Dorothea was born in Germany and married Johann Henn in 1813. Dorothea emigrated to America with her husband and children, departing Le Havre, France and arriving in New York, New York on 12 August 1833.
Dorothea died on 8 August 1844 in West Fork, Hamilton, Ohio. She was initially buried at West Fork Cemetery and then reinterred at Spring Grove Cemetery sec 30 lot 91 on 26 October 1888 .[1][1]

Maiden name of Schmitt or Schmidt is from birth records in Katzweiler Germany for Maria Barabara and Elizabeth Magdalena Henn with father Johannes Henn. No other records on these children are yet documented.
