Ottilia and Frank were married about 1910 (possibly in Minot), and they crossed into Canada with Frank's family in April 1910.
In 1911, he was living in Township 38, Range 23, West of the 3rd meridian, with his wife Ottilia, and his family (Frank, Francisca, John, Paul and Eleana Schmidt).[2]
By 1916, his father had passed away, and his siblings had moved into their own homes. Frank's mother was still living with them, and Frank and Ottilia now had four children.[3]
In 1921, they were still in the same place. The family had two quarter sections, SE18 and SW18, T38 R23 W3. Francisca, Frank's mother was still living with them, and they now had seven children.[4]
In 1946, he was working as a caretaker and living at 852 Wilson Avenue in Kelowna, BC.[1]
Frank passed away after a cerebral haemorrhage due to cerebral atherosclerosis on October 23, 1946 in the Kelowna Hospital, and was buried October 25 at the Kelowna Cemetery.[1]
