Biography

Catrina was born to Valenteyn Smit and his wife, Metjen Kermer. She was baptized 1736 May 23rd by Domine Vas with Jan Roosa and Lea de Wit as witnesses [1]. Her siblings are Christina [2], Hendrick [3], Ysaak [4], Jonas [5], Catrina [6], Johannes [7], Velter [8], and Grietje [9].

Catrina married Gaerardis Quik on 1 5 Jun 1757 in Marbletown, Ulster, New York [citation needed]. Among their chidren were:

  • Catharina Quik bapt. 17 Sep 1758 [10]


She passed away after 1760. [citation needed]
