Biography

Nessen Claire Schmidt, eldest son of Nessen Schmidt and Marie Zoellin, was born on February 9, 1907 in Bitterwater, California at his grandfather Charles Zoellin's home. ^[1]

In January 1927, Claire met Tressie Kester, and they dated for several years until they were married in a civil ceremony on 23 Jan 1929 in Hollister. They had three children, Elaine, Donna, and Dan.

He died on August 24, 1992 in the Mee Memorial Hospital in King City, Monterey, California, after a long illness. ^[2] He is buried in the King City Cemetery next to his wife and near his mother, father and many descendants.^[3]
