Hi Chris,

I sent you a message a while ago on behalf of the Germany Project and have yet to hear back from you. I hope you are well.

If I don’t hear from you in the next week or so I’ll assume you no longer wish to be in the project and go ahead and remove you. You would, of course, be most welcome to rejoin at any time via the G2G sign-up post.

Best wishes,

Kylie :-)

Hi,

On behalf of the Germany Project, I am currently undergoing our member check-in's and wanted to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? We have many new teams so have a look on the Germany project page for the full list. I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google groups for project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup, please submit a join request and we will get that approved as quickly as possible. We also ask that you check your follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (GERMANY) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions please ask. I would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project!

Please respond by private message. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi Chris,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. I see you have several surnames for tags. Have you checked out the One Name Studies project? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started. Let me know if you need any help! Trish

Hi Chris

You are now a confirmed member of Wikitree. Thank you for volunteering.

Our G2G Forum is the hub of our communication. Pop in when you have time and introduce yourself or ask a question, we all love to welcome a new member :)

If there is something you are having trouble understanding or you need additional help learning how to use WikiTree, you can always contact a mentor.

Both G2G and mentors are accessible through the Help drop down menu top right of your page. There are also useful tabs at the top of your profile.

Just for fun, come and join in on our Question of the Week: When did you realize the importance of sources in genealogy?

Happy researching!

Hello Christopher -

Welcome to Wikitree! I'm so glad you found us!

Wikitree is one BIG world-wide family tree that is freely accessible to everyone. Our goal is to have one profile per person which means we all work together as a BIG friendly and polite collaborative team!

If you are interested in sharing your research and want to collaborate to add your family, please fill out the TAGS on your profile page and click SAVE TAG(s) AND VOLUNTEER.

Each Tag should be a single surname like SMITH or single location like CANADA with a comment explaining why this subject interests you.

  • Once you choose to Volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you'll be on your way!

Welcome to the Family!

Deborah, Volunteer from USA
