The biography for Nancy Purchase is empty. What can you add? Retired Registered nurse. Family genealogist and historian. Author of: Book: "The Genealogy of the Purchase Family in Britain and Southern Africa. The Ancestors of Harvey Spurgeon Purchase (1906-1968) and the Descendants of James Purchase (1689/90-1723/24)." by Nancy R. and H. Graham Purchase, published by lulu.com, 2008. See www.lulu.com I had researched and entered the family members into the PAF genealogy program for many years, complete with their stories. I am very thankful that Graham took that information and put in into a narrative form and desk-top published our book.

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles!
It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

I’ve noticed that you have South African Roots like me, may I give you some tips for South African research on WikiTree?
Perhaps you would like to join the South African Roots Project? Besides links to sources, there are help pages that might also be useful. Many / most of the South African genealogical lines and profiles of the eighteenth and seventeenth periods (and earlier) have already been made. Many have also been validated with primary sources.
A few handy links:
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
Happy tree climbing

Thank you for your offer to join the South African roots project but i must decline due to time restrictions. My husband's PURCHASE line to South Africa emanate from Bere Regis and Chichester, Dorset, England. His grandparents went to Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia) from England as Missionaries - Harvey George Purchase was a builder and Grace Lillie Page a nurse. My husband, Harvey Graham (called Graham) Purchase is not deceased. We wrote a book on the Purchase family which explains all. I am now about 80 years of age and an concentrating on trying to get my German side of the family straightened out, before I am! :) Nancy (Schneider) Purchase

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level. Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.

I noticed that you posted on Harvey George Purchase's profile. His profile is orphaned at this time, so no profile manager will be notified about your message. If you upgrade you will be able to adopt the profile and connect it to your branch, add your sourced information, and improve the profile. Any improvements that you make will help in the mission to create an accurate, single-family tree.
