On October 25, 1917, Carl Jr. married Helen Naundorf and lived on the home place. Here they built their new home where they lived until the fire. Then moved to an apartment in Fort Saskatchewan, until passing On Sept 17 1920 the first daughter, Lillian, was born. Several years later, on June 10, 1927, their second Daughter Elsie, arrived. In 1932, Carl’s mother passed away and is also buried in Bruderheim. The family moved to August Schneider’s to rent their land in 1930. They lived here for three years (1930-33). During this time their third daughter, Dorothy, was born Sept 17, 1932. In 1931, Mary Meyn came to live with the family when she was 12 years old, after the passing away of her grandmother who cared for her. Her mother had died when she was six months old.
