Schmitt-4488 and Schneider-7653 appear to represent the same person because: Although some historical documents offer "Scheider" for Catherine Bach Nuwer's mother's maiden name, further research on Peter Bach's family reveals that her maiden name was "Schmitt". The Bach family tree has been assembled at Family Search. (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/GZCB-CDC). We have found the family's home town in France and have identified Ann Schmitt Bach's eight children.
