DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Johann by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Johann:
Returning to this again I think the Anna Barbara connection is a total misdirection. Isn’t this the Johann Wilhelm Schneider Sr in Jones (1985) 904ff. I would like to remove her and follow Jones.
There are at least four Schneider profiles mixed up here. Not sure if Schneider-843 and Schneider-6067 are the same person (with one profile showing the wrong wife) or if they are different people, with one having adopted the wrong death date. As well, Schneider-307 and Schneider-2177 seem to be another Johann Wilhelm, son of Johann Dietrich. Knittle's copy of the subsidence lists shows Johann Dietrich and three Johann Wilhelm's: https://archive.org/stream/earlyeighteenthc00knit#page/288/mode/2up
Schneider-6067 and Schneider-843 appear to represent the same person because: they have the same wife (just the name & marriage varies), and (Johannes George/Jury), and year of death.
It looks to me, following Jones Palatine Families of New York (1985) , that the Johan who died in 1728 had different birth details, a different wife and was the father of only some of the children here. Also I don't find a 1693 marriage. Suggestions?
