Biography
- Rear-Admiral Anson Schomberg R.N.,(1846-1925) was the son of R-Adm Herbert Schomberg R.N. and Sarah Bayton (m. 1844)
- He married Caroline Alice Elizabeth Lloyd on the 30th of October 1877 in St. Peter's Church, Brighton, Sussex, England.
- He died aged 75 on the 12th of June 1925 at Hove, Sussex, England.

- Schomberg saved a life from drowning in June 1868 for which he was awarded the Royal Humane Society Bronze Medal on 9 September.
- Schomberg was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 4 April, 1870.
- Schomberg was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1882.
- Schomberg was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1889.
- Schomberg was appointed in command of the battleship Victorious in September, 1897.
- Schomberg was placed on the Retired List on account of age on 20 November, 1901 and promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral (retired) on 30 May, 1903
