Josiah and Rachel (Schooley) Dyer made their home in what was then Sussex County, New Jersey on the road between Log Gaol and Allamuchy. Of the children of Rachel (Schooley) Dyer, Mary wenst to Canada with husband Lewis Dennis, Rachel went to New York, James went West, Samuel married Susanna Pound and stayed in the area. Anna lived in Allamuchy but later moved to Ohio.
