  • Peter Schoonmaker Corsa was bp. Aug 1749 at Machemeck. [It is interesting to note that Rachel's youngest son, Peter, was baptized in Aug 1749 at Machemeck and named as Peter, son of Jochem Schoonmaker and Rachel Van Garden; He was born about over a year before Jochem died and a year and over two years before his mother married to Teunis CORSA. Yet the modern science of Y-DNA clealy shows that he was the son of Rachel's second husband, Teunis CORSA. The conclusion is that Rachel was having an extramarital affair with her future 2nd husband, Dennis Reser aka Teunis CORSA while her first husband, Jochem Schoonmaker was still living, and she baptized her child, Peter, in a manner to hide her secret. After Rachel's 2nd marriage, Peter Schoonmaker, then age two was given the name Peter CORSA, and no one at the time knew the difference. Rachel's "dirty little" secret was revealed 250 years later by the Y-DNA tests of direct male descendants of Peter.]
