Researcher's Notes

It is unclear whether the Find A Grave memorial here: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/90609397/martin-schoonmaker is for the same Marinus Schoonmaker. The name was Transcribed from "Old Gravestones of Ulster County", 1931, Dr J Wilson Poucher and Byron J. Terwilliger, without any dates of birth and death.

Heidgerd states he died in Brooklyn and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn. There's no corresponding FindAGrave memorial from that cemetery. Heidgerd states that Martinus was a minister of the Reformed Dutch Church (licensed in 1765) and served in Gravesend and Harlem (1765-1785), then in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New Utrecht, Flatlands, Bushwick and Gravesend (1784 -1824).Brownsword-137 23:51, 26 August 2023 (UTC)

Schoonmaker-632 and Schoonmaker-566 do not represent the same person because: Sometimes confused for each other.
