Biography

Anna Elisabetha Mayer (Maierin) b 26 Jan 1706 dau of Martin and Anna Catharina Mayer married Johann Georg Schopf (b 09 Apr 1705) on 13 Oct 1727 in Grossachsenheim.They had two sons and a daughter before she was widowed on 29 Mar 1732. She gave birth 28 May 1732 to their second daughter, two months after Johann Georg died (Ellen Dietterick, private communication; FHL File # 1184619).

Elias [Dieterich] from Ottmarsheim married the widow Schopf from Grossachsenheim on 21 Oct 1732. Then they lived in KIeinsachsenheim after marrying. Elias and Anna Elisabetha's first child, Elias, dies when he is just days old in Aug 1734. Judith is born 23 Sep 1735, Johann Elias is born 30 May 1738 and Johannes is born 23 Oct 1741. On 22 December 1744, Elias and [evidently] Anna Elisabetha as well as their three children landed in Philadelphia. Their 4th and 5th kids, Johann Jacob and Christina are born in Philadelphia, by now Anna Elisabetha is in her very early 40s. (E. Dietterick; FHL File # 1184623).

The family settled abt 1748 in Northampton PA, eventually moving to Mount Bethel. Elias Dietrich (Sr) died in 1759. (See Elias' Wikitree profile for more information.)

Anna Elisabetha passed away in 1776.
