His will is summarized in "Surry County, North Carolina, Wills, 1771-1827," by Jo White Linn.

Supposedly buried in Bethabara, Forsyth County, North Carolina.

17 August 1762: Lord Granville to Frederick Shore 313 acres on Mill Creek waters of Muddy Creek adjacent the Moravian lands (this could be the son).

According to Heidi Dees Rootsweb Worldconnect web site : "It is to be noted that in his will, Friedrich Schorr bestowed the name upon his children as "Shore" and he himself signed the will in that manner. And so it has been to the present day."

His death was reported in the Moravian diaries by his son-in-law Johann Jacob Kapp.


Son of Friedrick and Ursula (Tschudin) Schor. He was baptized Oct. 27, 1705. He married Margaretha Schneider on March 28, 1729.

"Friedrich Schr died Nov. 28, 1773...Early this morning, Br. Kapp brought word that his father-in-law, Friedrich Schor, died peacefully, yesterday in the fourth hour." (Bethania Diary, Rec. of Moravians in NC, vol. 2, page 780).

Children: Friedrich Heinrich Michael Johannes Margaretha Infant (who died at sea)

Emigrated 1750 on ship, The Sandwich, with brother Michael, wives and children. Arrived Philadelphia, PA after 5 months travel.
