Family #32 in the 1798 Grimm census.
Family #205 in the 1834 Grimm census.
Anna Margaretha Schott was born in 1780 in Grimm, Russia, to parents Jakob Schott and Anna Margaretha Becker. Her parents were among the first settlers of Grimm. She had six siblings.
1798 Grimm Census
[1]
Margaretha married Heinrich Adolph Albrandt by 1807 in Grimm. The couple went on to have at least five documented children, all boys.
They may have also had daughters, specifically daughters born before 1816. These are girls who were born after 1798 and married before 1834, so they never appeared in a census with their biological parents.
1834 Grimm Census
[2]
According to the 1834 Grimm census, her husband Heinrich Adolph Albrandt died in 1830 and she took over as head of the household in the 1834 census.
Anna Margaretha's name does not appear in the 1857 Grimm census. It's possible that she remarried after 1834 and lived in a different family. Had she survived, she would have been 77 years old.
Margaretha Albrandt was one of these woman in the 1798 census:
The Margaretha Albrant from family #47 can be eliminated; she was Adolph's sister. Of the remaining women, in terms of proximity, Margaretha Schott (#32) lived the closes to the Albrandt family (#47) in 1798. Additionally, through the years, the Schotts and the Albrandts were consistently close, as in intermarrying, from generation to generation. The closeness between the families continued until some family members immigrated to the United States, while others remained in Grimm and were eventually relocated to Kazakhstan.
