Biography

Anna Margaret Schott was born on 2 August 1882 in Welch Township, Cape Girardeau, Missouri Territory, United States. [1] She was the daughter of Jacob Schott and Nancy Scott.

According to oral family history, Anna and her sisters (Laura, Katherine, and Pearl) were orphaned and living in an orphanage before moving to Kentucky, United States. [2]

Anna married George Christopher Reidmiller on 21 April 1902 in Louisville, Jefferson, Kentucky, United States. [3]

Anna passed away on 14 May 1962 in Louisville, Jefferson, Kentucky, United States. She is buried at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. [4]

Anna's obituary reads: "Mrs. George C. Reidmiller, 1452 Cherokee Road, died at 11 am Monday at home. She was 79. Her husband, a retired agent for the American Railway Express Co., died in 1951. The former Anna Margaret Schott, she was born in Missouri. She was a member of the Sunnydale United Church of Christ. Surviving are a son, Kenneth R. Reidmiller; four daughters, Mrs. Marie Ward, Tampa, FL, Mrs. Mildred Keller, Mrs. Audrey Peveler and Mrs. Chere Fischer; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 am Thursday at Ratterman's. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery. The body will be at the funeral home after 4 pm Tuesday. [5]
