He is not named in the 1857 Grimm census, but there is a son by an unnamed brother listed. Johann Heinrich is the only brother not listed in the 1857 census entry. He had most likely died before 1850, at which time his death would have been noted in the 1850 male-only census. His son, also named Georg Heinrich Schott, was 9 years old in 1850 and died 6 years later. Because of the timing of their deaths, it's possible that both father and son succumbed to cholera. The third cholera pandemic swept across Russia from 1846 to 1860, killing more than 1 million Russians. [2]
