Biography

Joseph Schubert was born on 7 May 1854 in Raymond Terrace, New South Wales, Australia. His parents were Franz Wilhelm Schubert (1825 - 1886) and Eva Elizabeth Catherine (Marten) Ritzler (1823 - 1895).

Joseph's siblings included:

Joseph Schubert, of Tinonee, aged 66, died on Tuesday. Deceased some time ago went to Sydney for medical aid, and had only returned on Saturday. He was a very old resident of the district and formerly conducted a saw milling business at Pampoolah. He leaves a family of 16, mostly grown up.
