According to the 1860 census, Susan lived with her parents and siblings in Huntington County, Indiana.[2]
On September 22, 1878, Susan married John Devore in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.[3]
According to the 1880 census, Susan lived with John and their son, Thomas, in Allenville, Missouri.[4]
John probably died before February 3, 1884 because Susan married James Poinsett on that date.[5]

Susan divorced James sometime before April 22, 1914.[6]
On April 22, 1914, Susan married Andrew Smith in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.[6]
Susan died on November 27, 1924. She is buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Arbor, Missouri.[1]
