Doris Mildred Sampson SAMPSON, Doris Mildred – Age 79, passed away at her home in Myrtle Creek, Oregon, August 5, 1997. She was born in Fremont, Nebraska, June 25, 1918 to parents, Karl and Lena (Weihe) Schulz. She was united in marriage to Kenneth V. Sampson on November 12, 1940 in Chappell, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1968 after 27 years of marriage. Doris had resided in the Myrtle Creek area for the past 50 years, previously lining in the Portland and Klamath Falls areas. She was a member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Myrtle Creek Grange and RSVP. She had worked for many years with South Umpqua State Bank and retired in 1978. She enjoyed driving senior citizens for RSVP and reading. Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Mead of Aloha, Oregon, Laurel Jolly of Sterling, Virginia, Samantha Huddleston of Lakeview, Oregon, sister, Phyllis Belak of Fremont, Nebraska, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, August 10, 1997 from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 11, 1997 at 1 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Myrtle Creek with pastor Frank Fiedler officiating. Burial will follow in I>O>O>F Cemetery in Myrtle Creek. Memorial contributions may be made in Doris's memory to the Oregon Project Independence Program, c/o Douglas County Senior Services, P.O.
