Son of Nicolaus Schumacher and Christina Flohr

Peter emigrated from Prussia along with his mother Christina and sisters Anna Maria (John Pitzen) and Maria (John Diedrich), they arrived at Port of New York on 24 August 1846 aboard the ship John N Gosler. [1] Early settlers in Johnsburg (Est August 1841), McHenry County, Illinois.

Margaretha and Peter were the parents of six known children, baptized at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg

There are no existing death records at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg, from May of 1885 up to April of 1909, they records may have been lost in church fires ~
