Galloway, and his mother's name was Ada Medoro Kadlitz. Gertrude's father's name was Max Schumann, and her mother's name was Emma Kraul.[1]
At the time of the 1930 US Census, head of household Elmer Galloway (age 41, born in New York) was employed as Secretary for the Y.M.C.A., and living in an apartment they rented for $90 at 430 Lafayette Street, Manhattan (DIstricts 0001-0250), New York, New York, USA, with his wife Gertrude Galloway (age 23, born in New York circa 1907). Both of Elmer's parents were born in New York; both of Gertrude's parents were born in New York. Elmer's age at first marriage was 40; Gertrude was 22 when first married. [2]
