Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1878 in Michigan to German immigrant parents. She was the daughter of Joseph Schwab and Catherina Christman. [1] In 1880 she was living with her parents and five older siblings in Schoolcraft, Michigan.[2]

Elizabeth married Francis "Frank" X. Gillan in Helena, Montana in 1900.[3] In 1920 she was livin gin Pondera County, Montana with two daughters.[4]

By 1930 she and her daughters had moved to San Diego, California for health reasons while her husband remained in Montana. Elizabeth and her daughters were living with Elizabeth's sisters Gertrude Wood and her husband David.[5]

She passed away in 1940 in San Diego, California. She was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in San Diego.[6]
