Biography

Jakob was born in Nagold, Wurttemberg, Germany 4 Dec 1878 . He immigrated to the US in 1926 with his wife Christina (Eberle), children John Sr and his wife Katherine, Virginia, Julia, Christine, Katherine, Barbara. They settled in Mansfield, where he worked as a laborer at Barnes manufacturing.

One daughter, Elizabeth (Schwarz) Schuster remained in Europe and eventually settled near Frankfurt, Germany.

It is believed they immigrated to escape religious persecution during World War 1.
