Wilhelm Michael Schwarz was born on October 22, 1853 in the city of Wirsitz in Kreis Wirsitz of the Posen Province in Preussen(Germany) to Carl Schwarz and Henriette (Bartz) Schwarz. He was the firstborn of their 8 children. Wilhelm was baptized on October 25, 1853.[1]
Immigration
On June 4, 1866, at the age of 12, Wilhelm, along with his parents Carl and Henriette, and siblings Erdmann, Friedrich, Carl, and Auguste, arrived in New York aboard the S.S. Hermann traveling from Bremen, Germany.[2]
Family
On November 20, 1877, at the age of 24, Wilhelm married Emilie Luedtke in Willow Creek, MN.[3]
Lydia Augusta (1893-1975): Married Paul Engel (1891-1962), 5 children.
Death
On August 26, 1915, at the age of 61, Wilhelm passed away in Wheaton, MN and was buried in Saint John Lutheran Cemetery in Wheaton.[4][5]
