Hello Peter

Thanks for joining WikiTree. I'm a Mentor available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may have about WikiTree.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and I see Patt has already posted a link to WikiTree's Help Index, an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

If you have questions, feel free to ask me via my profile page.

Maryann ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hi Peter, You are now a member of the WikiTree Community - Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree. We are building one Collaborative Tree with just one profile per person, so it is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add, please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Also, be sure to include a list of the sources used, on each profile you add.

If you need any help getting started check out the Help Index or the G2G forum . Also our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Good luck growing your branches, Patt

It is time to complete a family tree to finish a job that my dear mother started. To do it on a worldwide basis bringing the possibility of linking known and unknown relatives is an exciting prospect. I think that Wikis mission is laudable, that there nine simple rules are sensible which I am happy to comply with and to volunteer to contribute to their shared family tree.

Welcome, Peter!

Our community of volunteers is working together to build a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile for every person. The site is completely free, and as a guest, fully available to you.. Our help pages, top right, have a lot of useful information, and you can always ask questions on our G2G Forum (http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/). Our Honor Code (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Honor_Code) is a very important part of why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree. If you'd like to help us by adding your family branches, please select the volunteer button and leave a statement, here on your profile, informing us of your interest in contributing to our project.
