Biography

Viscountes Edith Scott was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

Edith Caroline Sophia Scott was the daughter of John Henry Scott, 3rd Earl of Clonmell and Hon. Anne de Burgh.

She married Henry Monck 5th Viscount Monck of Ballytrammon (son of Charles Stanley Monck, 4th Viscount Monck of Ballytrammon and Lady Elizabeth Louise Mary Monck) on 23 July 1874.

They had the following children;

Hon. Annette Louise Monck (b. 23 May 1875, d. 25 May 1948)

Hon. Charles Henry Stanley Monck (b. 9 Nov 1876, d. 21 Oct 1914)

Hon. George Scott Stanley Monck (b. 3 Nov 1888, d. Jul 1912)

As a result of her marriage Edith was styled as Viscountess Monck of Ballytrammon on 29 November 1894.

Her husband passed away in 1927.

She died on 1 August 1929 at the age of 76.^[1]
