Hello, Neal. Found you via WikiTree DNA. Our earliest common ancestors are Hayden Tillman & Sarah Martin. They are my 5th GGF and GGM. - Randy Phillips

Hi Randy! I don't know if I ever replied to this before, but thank you for reaching out. Indeed, your Hayden & Sarah Martin Tillman were my 4G Grandparents. I'm descended from their son George K. Tillman. Thank you for the work you've done to make WikiTree such a great place! Having retired a couple of years ago I've finally found the time I wanted to dig deeper into my roots and learn about all the branches that have sprung from them. It's so fascinating!

HI, Neal!

I have added you to the trusted list for Ernest Scott. Bess Simmons (his wife) was my grandmother's sister. We have pictures of some of the family and a few newspaper clippings. Once I get my father's photograph notebooks from my sister (she's using them for a blog she's been working on), I can send you digital copies if you like??? If there are other profiles you need access to, just say the word. Would you like to take over profile manager for Ernest Scott so that you have the family?? I don't mind. Teresa Fortenberry

Hi Neal,

Just a quick PS

Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community! Please remember that we are trying to build one Collaborative Global Family Tree which means only one profile per person. It is important to ensure that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced.

To help you get started, check out an introductory WikiTree video that a member created. For member benefits, see our Community Members page.

We also have a Mentor Team who will be glad to answer questions and help you with any specific problems.

Welcome and Enjoy!

Hi Neal,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll see a Volunteer option on your profile page. Click that and leave us a short message here on your profile about your genealogical interests. A Greeters Project volunteer will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.

Have fun!
