Biography

Sallie Florence Scott was the daughter of Truse S. Scott and Honor (Nora) Gibson Scott. She was born on April 12, 1880 in Marlboro County, South Carolina, USA.

Sallie's sibling were Marvin, William, Nancy Jane, and Emma Scott Driggers.

Sallie Florence Scott married Joseph Taft Gibson, the son of Stephen Pate Gibson and Mary Eliza Covington Gibson. They had ten children; three sons and seven daughters. The threes sons are Melvin J. Gibson, Paul Gibson, and Joseph Taft Gibson, Jr. The seven daughters are Lula Mae Gibson Frazier, Eliza J. Gibson Carter, Bessie Gibson Miller, Aggie Nora Gibson Ruthven, Victoria Gibson Taylor, Cora L. Gibson Norment and Kathleen Gibson Cook.

Sallie Florence Scott Gibson passed away on December 7, 1934 in Darlington, Darlington County, South Carolina, USA. She is interred in Grove Hill Cemetery in Darlington, South Carolina, USA.
